VILAS COUNTY: EXPLOSION AND FIRE IN CONOVER - My Northern Wisconsin - 08-01-2022
On July 29, 2022 at 1:30 p.m., Vilas County Dispatch received a report of a small explosion and black smoke in the area of Church Road in Conover, Wisconsin.
Upon arrival, responding units located a fully engulfed structure fire. The single family dwelling sustained significant fire damage. The incident remains under investigation. The Salvation Army was contacted to assist the family.
Responding to the scene were Conover Fire and Ambulance, Land O Lakes Fire, Phelps Fire, Eagle River Fire, WE Energies, and Vilas County Sheriff’s Office.
