Job Description: As a Material Control Coordinator at BW Papersystems, you would ensure critical parts are quickly delivered to customers, minimizing downtime for their corrugated equipment. You would serve as a vital link between customer needs and our parts fulfillment process, coordinating internal resources to meet our 10-day delivery target. You will need to prioritize deadlines, communicate clearly, and maintain composure which is integral to our customer satisfaction and operational success. Job Responsibilities: Update Customer Service Representatives regularly on order progress and status to ensure alignment between customer expectations and delivery timelines. Monitor and manage stock levels of parts for corrugated industry equipment, identifying when reordering is necessary. Process customer orders for parts from around the world, with the goal of fulfilling most orders within 10 days. Communicate effectively with both internal teams and external customers to resolve problems quickly and keep all parties informed. Maintain detailed notes on order status in the inventory tracking system to ensure accurate information is always available. Check and respond to customer emails in a timely manner, participating in the rotation for managing the shared inbox. Remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous demands and activities. Verify received items against purchase orders and maintain accurate inventory counts. Stay informed about engineering or product changes that affect parts inventory and adjust ordering accordingly. Support customers with parts needs for equipment, including legacy systems that may be decades old, ensuring minimal downtime for their operations.
