INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN APPRENTICE (PHILLIPS) - My Northern Wisconsin - 03-05-2026 Click the link to learn more and apply. Job Description: The Industrial Electrician Apprenticeship Program at BW Papersystems offers a hands-on path to becoming a certified industrial electrician while gaining paid, real-world experience and technical instruction. This is a four-year apprenticeship program in collaboration with Northcentral Technical College (NTC). Apprentices will work while attending school, learning the fundamentals of direct and alternating currents, electrical control systems, and troubleshooting. Throughout the program, apprentices will work side-by-side with experienced electricians and technicians, gaining exposure to panels and motors. All education, travel time, and instruction are paid. Upon completion, graduates are expected to work full-time for two years at BW Papersystems in Phillips, WI. Program Highlights: 6-year total program (4-year apprenticeship + 2-year post-program agreement) 7,600 total hours of structured on-the-job training 720 hours of paid instruction at NTC (typically 1 day per week) Education and travel time are paid; candidates must be local to the area Apprentices complete their Journeyman Electrician certification while working and going to school for a combined total of 40 hours a week Following completion, candidates must work full-time for 2 years at BW Papersystems in Phillips, WI Must maintain a B or above in all coursework (falling below places the apprentice on probation; two consecutive semesters may result in program termination) 6-month probationary period First Aid & CPR certification required in year one “Transition to Trainer” course completed in the final year All travel, class time, and tuition are company-paid Position Type: This is an Apprentice Role, full-time position with occasional overtime. Must be able, available and willing to work more than 40 hours per week, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime. Travel: Occasional domestic travel may be required for this position.
