FREE POLLINATOR GARDEN SEEDS FOR THE COMMUNITY

In the fall of 2021 the Lincoln County Pollinator Project held its first seed harvest.  The goal of the harvest was to provide enough seed to the community to create at least 10,000 square feet of new native prairie.  After processing and preparing the seed, the Conservation Program has determined that enough seed was harvested to establish over 19,000 square feet!

These seeds are being made available to the community at no cost along with detailed instructions on how to establish the garden plots.  Each sachet contains enough seed to establish a 64 square foot area of native plants targeted towards supporting local pollinators.  The sachets are available while supplies last at the following locations:  Tomahawk Public Library, Lincoln County Service Center (upper level main entrance), Merrill Enrichment Center, and T.B. Scott Library.
