At about 2:32 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2023, Ashland police officers responded to a 911 call.
The caller reported hearing gun shots by Dollar Tree on Lakeshore Drive East in the City of Ashland.
Upon arrival to the scene, officers discovered two males lying in the alley. They were deceased and had gunshot wounds.
A person of interest was located near the scene and was arrested.
According to the police department, "This appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no indication of further danger to the public."
This is an ongoing investigation in coordination with the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation, the Wisconsin State Crime Lab, and the Wisconsin State Patrol, and no other details are being released at this time.
