Just before Christmas, a fire took a house and its contents on South Avon Avenue. The house was a total loss. While it is noted that the owner does have insurance, a GoFundMe page was set up to help with immediate expenses. The GoFundMe page can be accessed at this link.
On Christmas Eve, a fire started on Elk Avenue at a house which is still standing but with visible damage.
